HEART OF GOLD BAND Rocks Festival On The Green - 2016!

Heart of Gold Band had a great time playing The Festival On The Green in Morristown on September 25, 2016.  We were once again on the Main Stage and had a great enthusiastic crowd enjoying our music!  We added another David Bowie tune, Starman, and had a little space section...Starman into Rocket Man into Space Oddity.  That was a lot of fun!  The weather was cooperative once again. This is one of our favorite gigs each year, always a blast!

Judging for the TV Show Pitch Slapped

Over the summer of 2015, Joan judged several times for the 8 episode, Lifetime TV series, Pitch Slapped. She announced the winners on two of the episodes including the premiere.  Many people were surprised to see the episode which aired as a promo on many airlines! The show aired on TV in January  and February. You can still watch some of the episodes from the Lifetime website:

Joan also helped recruit the other judges for the show.  The show followed a cappella teams from two New Jersey high schools that were mentored by some of the best coaches in the industry: Deke Sharon, the on-site music director for the Pitch Perfect films; and acclaimed coach, Diana Preisler.
